Il Manoscritto Liutario Di Gio Antonio Marchi

G. A. Marchi was one of the most well respected masters of his time. In 1786, after over 50 years in the violin making trade, he finished a manuscript about his craft which was never published. This manuscript was rediscovered in the Archiginnasio Library in Bologna not long ago, upon which music historian Roberto Regazzi set about finally preparing it for publication. A unique historical document, which also includes an informative biography of Marchi.
